The 4-Task Setup Checklist
Custom domain, Cashflows MID, brand polish, terms — the four tasks every new tenant completes before going live.
Every new Turbo IT tenant has a four-task setup checklist visible in your SaaS portal at app.turboit.uk/configure and (soon) inside your raffle admin at /admin/configure. The four tasks are the bare minimum to take real money on your raffle site. None are blocking — you can skip any of them and come back later — but most operators complete them in the first day.
Task 1 — Custom domain
Your site is born at <slug>.turboit.uk. If you want to serve it from your own domain (e.g. myraffles.co.uk), this task spins up Cloudflare for SaaS Custom Hostnames against your domain.
- You add two DNS records at your registrar (CNAME + TXT). Your domain stays at your registrar — no nameserver migration needed.
- Cloudflare auto-validates ownership and provisions free SSL, typically within 5–30 minutes.
- Once validated, your raffle site serves from your domain immediately — no rebuild.
- Or click Skip — use my sub-domainif you’re happy on
<slug>.turboit.uk.
Task 2 — Cashflows MID
You need a Cashflows merchant account to actually take card payments. Cashflows is a UK-regulated PSP with strong support for UK competition operators (the same gateway powering Lucky Turbo and Mr XCA).
From this task:
- Click Apply with Cashflows — opens the Cashflows form pre-filled where possible.
- After you submit, mark the task as Applied in your portal. Approval typically takes 3–5 working days.
- When approved, Cashflows email you the MID + API key. Paste them into your raffle admin under Integrations.
See Applying for Your Cashflows MID for the full step-by-step including descriptor rules and document requirements.
Task 3 — Brand polish
Opens your raffle admin at /admin/brand. Upload your logo, pick primary + secondary colours, set your tagline. Changes save to your tenant_config row and propagate to the storefront immediately.
- Logo: PNG or SVG, transparent background, at least 200px tall
- Primary colour: hex code — used for buttons, links, accents
- Secondary colour: hex code — used for hover states and ambient glow
- Tagline: one short line for the homepage hero
Task 4 — Terms & conditions
Every raffle site needs Terms & Conditions and a Privacy Policy. We ship a UK-compliant template tuned for the free-entry route. Open the editor, scan it, change anything brand-specific (your name, your postal address for free entries), and click Save. That marks the task complete.
Bumps your terms_version column so existing customers are re-prompted to accept on their next checkout — important for consent tracking.
What setup_complete unlocks
When all four tasks are complete or skipped, your tenant_config.setup_complete column flips to true. In the upcoming configure-gated admin (Stage 5), this unlocks the full admin sidebar. Until then, you have access to everything from day one — the gating is opt-in.
